Racing Santander vs. Osasuna

The home side came close on 15 minutes when Óscar Serrano's drive was touched away by Osasuna goalkeeper Ricardo, but Miguel Flaño came close for the visitors seven minutes later.

Mohammed Tchité forced a save out of Ricardo on 34 minutes in an otherwise drab first half of action, but the game would pick up six minutes after the break when the visitors went in front.

Carlos Aranda took the ball in on goal against Santander defender Henrique, and he laid off a nice pass for Uruguayan striker Walter Pandiani to slot past Toño to make it 1-0.

Serrano came close to the equalizer in the 88th minute, but it would not be until the fifth minute of added time that Arana would become the hero.

A ball came floating into the area, and an untimely miscommunication in defense by Flaño and Josetxo allowed Arana to sneak in and slot past Ricardo for the last-gasp point.
